Why Join Our Local?
Port Canaveral is one of the busiest cruise ports in the world and continues to grow year after year. With millions of travelers passing through annually, the port serves as a major gateway for the global cruise industry and a home base for several well-known cruise lines. As new ships are introduced and cruise operations expand, the demand for skilled, dependable labor grows alongside it.
Joining our Local means becoming part of a workforce that plays a vital role in keeping one of the world’s most active ports moving. Our members support daily port operations, vessel services, and the behind-the-scenes work that allows cruise passengers to travel safely and efficiently. This steady flow of activity creates consistent opportunities, long-term stability, and room for advancement.
Beyond the work itself, our Local represents strength through unity. Membership provides access to structured job opportunities, clear seniority progression, and a collective voice that helps protect fair working conditions. As Port Canaveral continues to expand and attract new investment, our members are positioned to benefit from that growth while building careers rooted in reliability, skill, and community.
How to Join Our Local?

Applicants may choose to join as either a Casual or a Member. Each option has associated fees, which will be explained at the time of application.
Please note that work is not guaranteed. Submitting an application and paying the required fees does not ensure work availability or assignment every time work is offered. However, in order to be considered for work, we must first have your information on file. This includes completing all required paperwork, documentation, and applicable payments to get started.
Our goal is to ensure that all individuals who seek opportunities through our Local understand the process, expectations, and requirements from the beginning.
"Unity is strength. When there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved."
